By using this tutorial you agree to my
terms You may choose your
own colors for your bow.
For this tutorial you will need
Jasc PSP
8 .
You will need the canvas
here.
On the canvas I have
put the colors I used on a separate layer, delete when
done.
1. Load alpha channel
string right and flood fill with first color. Click
on Float (CTRL +f) Apply cutout, vertical and
horizontal 0, opacity 100, blur 20, #8E2225. Add new
layer, use air brush with these settings, size16, hardness
0, step 26, density 30, opacity 59. Use colors 2 and
4 to shade the areas in screen shot.

Use smudge tool to
blend the shading.
2. Load alpha channel
string left bottom, do the same as above.
Shade areas as in screen shot.
3. Load alpha channel
string left, flood fill with color 1. Click float, apply
cut out. Add new layer, use air brush using colors 2,
3, 4 in areas on screen shot. Use smudge tool to blend
the shading.

You will be doing the
same for the rest of the layers. I will just put the
screen shots on to show where the shading goes. You
will load alpha channel with corresponding layer, flood
fill with color 1, float apply cut out. Add new layer
and use colors in screen shots and smudge.
4. Load top loop right.

5. Load top right.

6. Load top left.
7. Load top inside
left.
8. Load bottom inside
left.
9. Load bottom left.

10. Load inside bottom
right.
11. Load bottom right
side.
12. Load middle
Ok now all the painting
is done. If you need to do some adjusting or adding
more high lights you can do that now. Use the #4 color
to add some extra shadow for the string layers where
they go under the bow loops. It is a little hard to
see when you first do the layer as to where the dark
shadows go. When it is all complete you can see where
to add more. If you get too much high light just lower
the opacity some. When you get it just the way you like
delete the colors layer and merge visible.
They color very well
too. The three below were the red colors and I just
colorized them.

Hope everyone had fun with this.
