Starting with the stems layer. In the layer palette click the lock  to lock the transparency.

Airbrush settings.

Smudge settings.

If you need the hairy brushes I use (and learned from Sue) you can get them here.

Use color # 2F3A02 and spray on the side of the main stem and in corners as in screen shot.

Smudge to blend.

Click on the first leaf layer, click the lock.  I like to paint on one layer for leaves and small areas. If you like to paint on different layers don't lock layer palette then Ctrl+A F to select and save to alpha-channel.

Start with the bottom row of leaves.

Using color 1 spray all over leaf not to heavy. Spray color 2 on the top part and middle. Use color 3 for outer edges and down the middle. Use color 4 for the high light right side of center, as in screen shot below. Smudge in down ward motion. Now paint leaf 1 threw 7. On leaf 4 after you paint it move it under the stem above it.  Darkest part towards the stem and lighter on the tips.

Now for leaf 8 the strange shaped one. lol

This is how I painted mine.

This is what I have so far.

Continue on and make all the leaves for the stems. This is what I have.
