Feel free to use your own colors for this.
For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 . Can be done in 7 too.
You will also need Eye Candy 3.
You will need alpha-channel canvas here.
1. Open leg alpha-channel. Flood fill with # CF8621. Add new layer. Set foreground color to #C64E24 and background to #F8C516. Use air brush with these settings. Size: 177, Hardness: 100, Step: 25, Density: 1, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 0, Opacity: 100. Click a couple times with each color. Next add motion blur, angel 176, strength 12. Deselect. Turn off all layers but the 2 leg layers and merge visible. Lock layer pallet and use air brush to shade the edges using these settings. Color #844803 Size: 30, Hardness: 7, Step: 24, Density: 100, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 100. If you are using PSP7 you wont have thickness or rotation. Opacity: 24. When going around the toes adjust the size of air brush to about 10. Use the lighten and darken tool to lighten up the middle of leg and knee area and on toes. Duplicate layer and move over for left leg. You will be able to line it up when you get to the dress layer.
2. Load arm alpha-channel. Flood fill with #FFF172. Add new layer. Set foreground color to #FFFCE1, background color to # E8CF00. Use air brush with these settings. Size: 106, Hardness: 100, Step: 25, Density: 1, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 0, Opacity: 100. Click a couple times with each color. Next add motion blur, angel 202, strength 12. Deselect. Turn off all layers but the 2 arm layers and merge visible. Lock layer pallet and use air brush to shade the edges using these settings. Color #EBAC15 Size: 30, Hardness: 7, Step: 24, Density: 100, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 100. Opacity: 24. Unlock layer pallet. Add noise of 6%, uniform and monochrome checked. Apply eye candy 4000 jiggle using these settings.
Duplicate layer and move over for left arm.
3. Do the same as you just did in step 2 for the body. Change the motion blur to 180.
4. Load the dress alpha-channel. Flood fill with # 9187B0, set background with #484161. Lock layer transparency and spray around edges with these settings Size: 45, Hardness: 7, Step: 24, Density: 100, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 100. Opacity: 24. Now change the thickness to 15, and rotation to 153. Click a few times to get shading as in screen shot. Adjust the rotation as you move the brush over. I started on the right and went left.
Change to the lightness and darkness tool, use these settings. Size: 13, Hardness: 0, Step: 25, Density: 100, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 125. Opacity: 55. Click in between the areas of you dark shading.
Change to the smudge brush using these settings. Size: 45, Hardness: 7, Step: 24, Density: 100, Thickness: 100, Rotation: 100. Opacity: 24. Blend the lines till they look smooth. You can pull in the out side shading to blend too. Don't forget to line up your legs so they match the folds of the dress. Adjust the arms now too.
5. Load the belt layer. I use a gradient to make the belt, Angel 90, repeats 0. For the straps on the dress I use the point to point set at size 2.
6. Load the hat alpha-channel. Flood fill with # DDC19F. Apply the eye candy weave using these settings.
Lock transparency and air brush around edges with # 115D45. Add some flowers for a band. Use the lighten brush to add some high lites.
7. Load the beak alpha-channel. Flood fill with FFBF41, apply noise same as before. Lock transparency apply cut out vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 44, blur 6.30 color AF6E1C. You may use my eye provided in the down load or make your own. Click on the dress layer and add drop shadow using these settings. Vertical 3, horizontal 1, opacity 51, blur 7, color black. Make sure Shadow on new layer is checked. Click on eraser and erase every where but the area where the dress is over the legs. You can add some hair using the hair-tight curls brush. Choose your own colors.
